Privacy Policy

[Operator name, enskild firma], [Business address], Sweden, is the data controller for nightmuse.ai. This policy explains what personal data we collect and why. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
- Account data: email address and a hashed password.
- Chat data: the messages you send and the replies generated for you, plus a short memory summary per character.
- Purchase data: plan, token balance and transaction references. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never receive your full card number.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic logs needed for security and fraud prevention.
Why we use it
- To provide the service, including chat memory (contract).
- To take payments and prevent fraud (contract and legal obligation).
- To enforce our rules and keep the service safe, including automated message filtering (legitimate interest).
- To send account and billing emails. We only send marketing emails if you opt in (consent).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your chats to advertise to you.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run Nightmuse: hosting (EU), our payment processor, and the AI model provider that generates replies. They may only use the data to provide their service to us. Where data leaves the EU/EEA we use standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long we keep it
Account and chat data are kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account. Payment records are kept as long as Swedish accounting law requires (currently 7 years). Security logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Cookies
We use only cookies and local storage that are needed for the site to work: remembering your age confirmation and keeping you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email support@nightmuse.ai. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
